Yes, of course. At Satsuki-ryu, we teach carefully from the basics so that even beginners can start with confidence. Many people, regardless of age or experience, enjoy learning from the very beginning.

People of all ages and genders come to learn for various reasons, such as to improve their health or to gain new insight. Please come and try it out.

We have people who have been performing on stage since they were 2 or 3 years old. When you can walk, why not start dancing as a way to enjoy the music? We look forward to seeing you!

There are three to four events per year, but you can only attend the ones you wish to attend.

The basic lesson is wearing a yukata. The main equipment is a fan. If you can't get everything at once, you can rent it.

In order to allow you to learn Nihon Buyo beautifully, our school does not have any restrictions on dyed hair, piercings, etc. as long as they do not interfere with the dancing.

Most people are unable to wear a kimono (yukata) from the beginning.

There are senior students, including senior disciples, at the practice studio, so you will gradually be able to wear the kimono by yourself as you learn from them every time.

We also hold paid kimono dressing classes several times a year.

If you want to learn the basics from scratch, you will need to thoroughly study classics such as Nagauta and Kiyomoto.

However, in recent years, pop music, enka, and Western music have been incorporated, and it is also possible to have a teacher choreograph the dance.

Calculating from the time it takes to put on the kimono, it usually takes more than an hour for most people. The lesson itself takes 30 minutes. (※ Two-level lessons are also available.)

However, you will learn a lot just by watching other people's lessons before and after, so please make sure you come with plenty of time.
